Our School
The Poplar River First Nation School building stands proudly with the Manitoba, Canadian, and First Nation flags flying. Our modern facility serves as a beacon of education and cultural pride in the community.

Gymnasium
Our full-size gymnasium features a professional basketball court, retractable bleachers, and the Poplar River First Nation crest proudly displayed. Home to Eagles basketball, volleyball, and community gatherings.

Library & Learning Commons
A vibrant learning space featuring colorful seating, extensive book collections, and a large display screen. Students gather here for reading, research, group projects, and community storytelling sessions.

Science Laboratory
Our state-of-the-art science lab is equipped with modern lab stations, safety equipment, and educational displays including the periodic table and cell biology posters. Students conduct hands-on experiments in biology, chemistry, and physics.

Music Room
Where traditional and contemporary music blend together. Our music room houses drum kits, guitars, piano, traditional djembe drums, xylophones, and more. Students learn both Western music theory and traditional Indigenous drumming and songs.

Art Studio
A creative haven where students explore visual arts, from traditional Indigenous art forms to contemporary techniques. The studio features work tables, art supplies, and displays of student botanical drawings and prints.

Computer Lab
Our modern computer lab equips students with essential digital literacy and coding skills. With individual workstations and teaching displays, students learn programming, digital design, and research skills for the 21st century.

Home Economics Room
Students develop practical life skills in our fully-equipped home economics classroom. Multiple kitchen stations allow hands-on learning in cooking, nutrition, and food preparation, including traditional Indigenous recipes.

Main Hallway
Our main corridor showcases beautiful wood paneling inspired by the poplar trees of our homeland, with wave-like designs representing the river. The Poplar River First Nation crest and Indigenous artwork welcome all who enter.

Student Art Gallery
A vibrant corridor displaying student artwork alongside a stunning mural depicting Anishinaabek life—canoes on the water, animals of the land, and the beauty of our traditional territory. Every hallway tells a story.
